      “Tour interpreter is the only national certified license in the interpretation field, and is administered by the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism. An amendment of the tourism law in 2009 requires that all travel agents targeting foreign tourist must have personnel with the tour interpreter license act as the tour guide. The exam is composed of written and oral parts, both of which must be passed, and is administered every half –year. The written exam is multiple choice and its topics include Korean history ,tourism resources explanation, tourism law, and introduction to tourism, In the oral exam, the sense of duty, professional knowledge , behavior and sincerity, and presentation ability are evaluated , A foreign language exam is replaces by certified foreign language test results.
